Rainy Saturday, and cold too!  I've cleaned my whole house today, did some grocery shopping and now checking e-mails.  What's everyone else up to?

Nancy,
How is the New TV I think it is so cool you won it.
I am on my way to do some time on the treadmill and listen to my MP3 player.
Then I will maybe play some of my Buffy game on the xbox till Lee gets home.
I went to the meetup in Raliegh this morning.

Balancing the check book.......aaaarrrrrrrhhhhhh!  Haven't done this since the end of JUNE!

Cooked a pot of homemade soup....  need something warm to eat on this cold, rainy day.

I was supposto' have it last night but I got called to take band to E. Duplin for football game, so it's tonight. I turned the heat on for the first time this year.

Lets see -
 - Found a brand new pair of jeans in my closet that still had the tags on (22) put them on and well - lets say it's a good thing I found them this week. they fit wonderfully except for being baggy in the seat. Put on an XL top with them and that made my day.

- My best friend and I did our part to stimulate the economy with a few hours of retail therapy. A trip to Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond & Target. All in all it yielded a few new books, a curved shower curtain rod and a new pocket book.

- The cold and damp weather was reason to stop at the grocery store and get chili fixins. So I've got a great smelling house. Since I was fixing chili I decided to invite Jimmy over - when he said yes, that means I've cleaned house like a mad woman.

- So now I'm enjoying a clean house that smells wonderful while I wait for Mr. Man to come on over.

Thanks for posting this, Nancy.  I always love reading about what ya'll are up to!

I was up bright and early this morning with baby kitty.  She is always bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to play.  Eventually, the entire family woke, gathered laundry, and I got that started.  Then we went outside to begin our typical work-weekend as of late.  We got the bonfire started with a bunch more brush and the girls and I worked on keeping that going all day.  Who says women can't run chainsaws?!  You should see our 15yo daughter go with that thing.  lol

While our 19yo son finished painting the new posts for the deck, my hubby got the finishing touches done so we could start laying the decking.  When he was ready for that, I took over the power saw with, again, the 15yo daughter and we kept cutting and handing the boards up to him (it's a second-story deck) while he laid them.  Out of the 42' length, we only got about 1/4-1/3 laid.  Ugh!  lol  So we will be back at it tomorrow.

Our 20yo daughter and 19yo son took a break from trying to install her stereo to run and get us Pizza Hut for dinner.  I was sooo glad I didn't have to cook!  We've eaten dinner, cleaned up outside and downstairs, and are now upstairs CRASHED out in beds, recliner, etc.  Even the dogs act like they are just whooped.  lol  We'll all sleep good tonight!

Noodle,

Well this is a late post as usual..  It did rain all day and we also had no TV, Phone or Internet access from about 1pm until after I left for work at 6pm, I think Rex said it came on around 9pm tonight.  Anyway, my house is clean too and I even finished reading a book I've been trying to finish.  Rex caught up on some much needed sleep, I think he has a cold coming on.

I sure hope it doesn't rain Sunday (even though I have to sleep all day - ugh, I hate working nights!)...
