I am home!
Hi all, I made it home from the hospital and feel great. The worst part is the gas, but as long as I keep walking then I am okay, and can pass it. I was only in surgery for 2 hours, and Dr. P was really happy at how well it all went. I was very groggy and out of it on Monday until around midnight, when they got me up to walk . After I walked I was good to go. I am losing all my fluid weight after the surgery and am under my consultation weight already.
I have just been surprised by how easy this seems to be so far. I am sure it is because I knew ahead of time what to expect from all the wonderful posts on this site. And I know that this is just the beginning, and there may be bumps in the road..but I know where to find help, also.
Thanks everybody! And special thanks to my Angel Pam! Thanks for being so good to care about me when you have so much stuff going on!

Welcome home! I am so very glad you are feeling great and that the walking is helping so much with the gas issue. (Making another mental note about that here!) I am like you and am thankful to know oh so well what to expect thanks to everyone here. Can't wait to continue to hear about your journey and all the successes that are ahead for you!
Kay,
I'm delighted to hear that your surgery and recovery are all going so well. As you have learned the secret is to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk ... And that will be the case for many, many, many years to come.
Welcome to the loser's bench my dear!
