Is this normal?
Goodmorning Cindy,
As more and more weight comes off your energy is going to soar.
You are going to find out there is a whole new world out there that has nothing to do with food.
As far as going back to the gym take it slow and easy.
You have just been through major surgery your body will let you know what you can do.
After my surgery my surgeons nurse was encouraging me to walk my dogs.
Keep in mind my surgery was in August 07 and we were having a horrible heat wave.
So when she would say go walk your dogs I Thought Yeah Sure Right NO WAY

Well Annie so far this week the scales haven't moved and that's a little depressing but on the up side they haven't went up earlier. I think my mind is saying what the heck is going on I'm not eating to much and I'm not losing. I feel a little better today so going to try and look on the positive side that I've lost about 23 lbs in 17 days.

Cindy,
It's good that you use this site to express yourself and get feedback from others. Have you found a local WLS support group to attend in your area? This would give you some face to face support and you could get to know people near you in the same situation. The Psychiatrist at my doctor has spoken about the different stages and emotions people will go through. It's normal. But helpful to talk to others.Hang in there !!!! If you need to find a support group, you might want to post a message on the NC forum.
