Cindy,
Please call your surgeon's office and talk with them about the issues that you are having. I think that they will tell you that sometimes, the diabetes resolves immediately, but sometimes is takes awhile. I know that for me personally, while I had some of meds stopped immediately, I remained on some for a few weeks post op with a tapered off dosage. Eventually, I was delighted to be removed from all meds and have had normal glucose readings and HbA1C readings since then.
I know that you are anxious for the diabetes to resolve, but you need to remember that your body has also been fighting a raging infection for weeks ... before surgery and after. That and medications you are on to fight it are bound to be affecting your glucose readings.
I believe that if you talk with your surgeon's office, they may be able to give you some support and insight into why your glucose readings are the way they are and what you can reasonably expect to have happen as your body heals.
I heard a sermon last week that I have really be taking to heart lately. The focus of it, was that while things may not be going the way that we want or had planned, that 'It will be okay.' I believe that for you ... it WILL be OKAY.
Hang in there,
Barb

Cindy,
You are welcome. I'm glad that you've talked with your dr's office. I know that it's hard, but please know that it will get better and believe it or not ... sooner than you might think.
