Please help need advice! Swallowed GUM

I just swallowed a piece of gum about an hour ago. Somehow it just slid down my throat. I have never had this problem in the past , so of course since I have had surgery it would do this. Has this happened to anyone else . Am I just over reacting? I know I will not chew gum anymore.

I imagine you'll be okay. While I wouldn't want to make a habit of it, I think it will probably go on through. You might cross post this to the main and rny boards. I'll bet you'll get more exposure there and find someone else who has experienced this.

I think it's normal and reasonable to be concerned, but I think that all will be well.

I swallowed gum a few weeks ago and I was so scared.  It seemed like it was stuck in my throat for like three days and then it finally passed on through.  I havent chewed gum since then, I just use tic tacs.
