Drum roll please......
When I went to Viquest this week for my exercise assessment, part of the process included the previously dreaded body fat measurement. Well, I'm happy to report that even though I'm not down to my ideal weight yet, my body fat percentage is within NORMAL range! I'm not sure it's ever been in the normal range in my life!
I've now been on this renewed fitness quest for about 2 weeks and let me tell you, I have found sore muscles that I never knew I had. Between the weight machines, water aerobics and the Satanic
Elipitical machine, I've been working all different parts of my trimmer body. I can also report that exercise is now much easier than it has been in the past 25+ years. I know that in the past when I tried to exercise the excess weight off, I always got very discouraged but now that I'm smaller it is not such a chore. I actually am beginning to enjoy it (OMG I can't believe I actually said that). It's amazing what a difference it makes when you don't have the extra pounds to work out with.
So to all you newbies, post-ops and grads.... keep up the mission/journey... life is GOOD!

Have a great weekend.... I'm off to Viquest again....

Hi Alice,
Congratulations!!! I'm delighted to hear that you are not only sporting a normal body fat index, but that you are enjoying the ability to get fit now that you are no longer fat.
Keep up the great work,
Barb

Heehee ! Alice, I hear you about the satanic machine ! Congratulations on the normal BMI and being able to enjoy the exercises. I, too, have always been one to detest the very word, but find it so much easier now. I have a long ways to go before I am *normal*, but I am making the effort.
Life is good for me, too and getting better.
So stay in the saddle....
and keep on going to shape those muscles!
