was able to do something today

During my time on the treadmill this morning for the first time I was able to let go of the side bars and use the poles  in the front.
In other words I am able to walk on the treadmill and use the front poles moving my arms as I walk.
I have been so scarred of falling.
I feel more confident using the poles and I know it encreases my workout.

Annie, That is great!  I understand your fear because I feel the same way when I get on a treadmill.  YOu are progressing at such a fast pace that I can't keep up with you.

We should make you a cape with a big A on the front for SUPER ANNIE!!!!!!
Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...

Annie do you by chance own any hiking sticks. If you have a fear of falling they could very well be a big blessing. I use them all the time on trails in the mountains and could not even begin to tell you the security they give me. My first set came from Wal mart and cost about ten dollars each. I finally got some more expensive ones this year cause I about wore out the other ones. Its like having rails where ever you go. I took off the rubber tips though and the carbide tips under them seem to bite a little better but I would not use them inside. Even if this is not an option now it may prove to be one in the future and I hope you are gonna run a race one day.

my best to the both of you

Annie, I LOVE it!  You are making such great progress.  Do you think the treatments you've been getting for your legs helped bump you to this point?  I can't imagine where you are going to be in short time after these treatments and the PS.  Perhaps a marathon is right?!
