Raleigh area surgeons

I have been set on getting lap band but have recently been waivering, kind of like what I am reading on the sleeve. Found out my insurance covers it but my surgeon doesn't have it listed on his website. Anyone know of any Raleigh area surgeons that do VSG and are under BCBS network? I know someone out there has to know....

Have you called his office to see if he still does the VSG?  I know of one of his patients the he did the VSG on last year.  His website just lists lap band vs gastric bypass.  Gastric bypass can be RNY, VSG or DS.  I would call to see. 

Haven't checked yet but I appreciate your input...I felt like he did because I remember in the seminar, he covered mostly lap and RNY but mentioned the sleeve and Fobi so I don't know why he would put it out there unless he offered it.  I just wanted to check around. My consult is with him next week.

When you go in for your consult, take a list of questions, about the lap band and VSG.  He will answer all of your questions and probably some that you wouldn't have thought to ask.  Good luck!
