Great News! Ben has insurance approval and a surgery date!

 Its a shame Ben had to jump through so many hoops for approval. However congrats on getting a date with the surgeon. The name change idea is way funny. Now Ben can look forward to some blended Christmas dinner but heck I would not mind that one bit. Now that both of you will share the experience it will be alot of fun the next time you go out for real dinner and split the one item between you. 

I think Ben is just happy that he got the through the administrative and insurance stuff and is ready to get on with it. He meets with his surgeon later this month.

I'm glad that the name change idea tickled your fancy.

I'm sure that we'll both end up cheap dates after the surgery ... we'll just have to take turns deciding who's gonna get to order.

Yeahhhhhhhh!!  Congrats to Ben. Will he be at Duke Hosp? If my ins is approved and the Surgens can agree.....My hernia and skin removal will be on Dec 17.   at Duke.  I will be praying for his surgery to go well and be successful.

He'll be at Durham Regional which is part of the Duke network.

You know when you go out to eat after surgery if yall both order something then you won't have to cook for the rest of the week. Now that my friend has it's advantages.

It'll be so great to have you by his side through this whole thing.  You've learned so many lessons that you can pass on.  Good luck to you both!

While I hope that he'll learn from my mistakes, I know that he'll have to make his own way as takes this journey. It will be interesting to see if and how our perspectives differ.
