Hey everybody just wanted to update everybody since it has been a month since my surgery.  The only problems that I have had was just this past weekend and most of yall know about that.  I am feeling a whole lot better still a little pain in my whole stomach but I have been able to keep everything down today even though it wasnt much but I havent thrown up.  Thank goodness I dont think my stomach could handle it anymore it hurt so bad when I did.  Alright, we will start from the beginning.  My first appt back in March I weighed in at 263 (my highest).  Went on a 2 week liquid diet and the day of surgery I was 248.  Now one month later I am at 223!!  So my total loss from the beginning is 40lbs and since the day of surgery is 25lbs.( i guess i am a slow loser). I really am ready for that normal feeling to come back.  I feel like my stomach is never going to feel the same.  Right now I do not have the urge to eat but I do anyway just because I know my body needs it.  I take my vitamins religiously, which I have never taken any vitmains before pre-op.  Well that is my update.  I hope everybody has a great week and I want to thank everybody here for their support.

Amanda

Hey Amanda,

I'm so glad your feeling better and were able to keep fun down. That's great that you've lost 25 lbs in a month, I only hope to do as well. Do you have problems with taking the pills? That's the only time I get upset is when I have to take all my meds and there is alot, because it hurts.
Well keep up the good work.

Errrr AManda??? 25lbs. the first month?? HELLO!!! I lost 20lbs. my first month...LOL silly girl, you are right on track!! There is NOTHING slow about that and 40lbs. in a month in a half!!!? When could you EVER lose that much weight in that amount of time before the surgery?? Like I said, take it while you can, cuz once you reach 5 and 6 months, more than likely the loss will be cut in half and the major loss that you will be experiencing then will be the hair loss!!!!
But anyways :) you are doing FANTASTIC!! I am so proud of you! I also downloaded those pics and will try to get around to doing them tomorrow :) I had to sneak mine in first...LOL

Amanda,  You are doing fantabulous on the weight-loss front!  I am just so relieved you are doing better with the tummy issues.  Phew!  Did you get to go to the seafood festival?!

Hi Amanda,

You are doing wonderfully my dear! Even though our stats were relatively close because my start weight was 264, I lost down to 233 on the day of surgery and I think that I had just lost about 18 lbs when I was a month out... Like you, I felt like I was a slow loser. I worried that I might not make the most of this opportunity and get down into the 'normal' range for my height. Well, we know what happened... I can see the same happening with and for you. Do yourself a favor and go log onto www.thinnerself.com and then click the Chart Wts and Inches button, then enter your demographics. While you are there enter your inches ... even if you didn't take 'em before, do it now. You'll be able to see a 'graphic' of your body shape shifting smaller and smaller. You are going to see that you are indeed doing very well ... I did a quick check and I think it says that you are projected to lose 100 percent of your excess weight based on your performance to date!!! How wonderful is that?!

Keep up the good work sweetie ... A year from now, we'll be shopping in the 5-7-9 Shop together!

Barb

P.S. I can already see your waist starting to appear in your photos. Be sure to take them at least once a month and chart your inches as well.
