Paperwork Saga
I posted earlier that I thought the paperwork part was over. HA. At this point, I am beyond flabbergasted.
When leaving the vet a bit ago, I asked my daughter to get her daddy on the phone so we could let him know about how Madeline was doing. She says, "Mom, you have a voicemail." I asked her to listen to it and she says, "It's someone named Lisa? From, like, Hickory Surgical or something?"
Here's me:
Oh my gosh, Hickory Surgical?!
OH MY GOSH, HICKORY SURGICAL???!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I missed that call!!!!!!!!!!
OH NO! I hope they are still open and I don't have to wait all weekend long before I get to talk with her!!!!!!!!!!
Oh crap, I hope this call is to make an appointment with the surgeon and not something else regarding the paperwork!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, that was me all within 10 seconds flat.
So I pulled into the first parking lot and make the call. Sure enough, after faxing and refaxing my records, and I kid you not, approximately TEN TIMES EACH, my normal thyroid panel did not make it from the weight loss clinic to the surgical clinic. We have been through hell trying to get my records and get them all faxed through. I just can't believe that there is another hitch.
Lisa said she would call the weight loss clinic to see if they could send it up to her right away, but that they would most likely gone for the weekend and that I may not hear from her til Monday. She was right. I don't know why there has been such an issue with receiving the faxes and keeping my records together. Now instead of celebrating all weekend my date with the surgeon, I have to wait until Monday to again try to get the paperwork straightened out.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like it would have been faster to pick them up and deliver them all yourself or have them couriered over. Sometimes faxes fail especially when faxing a lot of pages at once. I know its frustrating to find it out at the end of the day on Friday. Hang in there. It will come together eventually and maybe sooner than it seems it will now.
