Hi everyone!!  I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow! I have to be there at 9. I have been waiting for this day for a while, but somehow finding myself getting very nervous and little scared but excited at the same time. Does that make sense?  I just wanted to say thankyou to everyone up here because i read alot of posts and it helps with alot of things but i tend to be more of a shy person so i have not said a whole lot....Wish me Luck!!      Oh yea, does anyone know about how long you stay in the hospital

Hi,
Congrats on the surgery! I just had mine done on Monday the 29th and I was home by Tuesday and my doctor does a leak test on you the day after surgery and as soon as you can keep the juice they give you down I could go home. So far I've not had any trouble with getting my fluids in but I'll be truthful its has been painful for me with the stomach being so swollen and sore, but each day is getting better. Keep us posted on how your doing. Saving you a seat on  the losers bench.

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Good luck with your surgery. It is normal to be nervous. Just think about all the good that will come. I had surgery last monday and stayed until thursday afternoon.

Congratulations on your surgery.  I remember the last surgery I had being one that I was wanting and excited to have, but that still didn't stop me from also being nervous.  I think that is quite normal, but you can look at it as a good kind of nervousness :)
