I am Starving!!!
I will confess here. I am starving. I called my dr's office today and told them I am starving, cranky and tired. I am so sleepy. I railed on the assistant because I am just too cranky and did not realize how bad I was. I am super disappointed in my surgeon and I told her that. She tried to detend him but I still feel how I feel about him. I am well physically, just hungry. Apparently, I have no real restriction right now because they do not do a fill till much later so being on clear liquids only of course I am hungry and apparently it is very normal.
LAST NIGHT...I was dying, I ate ONE grape tomato, ONE and I did not feel bad about it really. I miss flavor. I did not tell the DR this because did not want to hear the lecture but I am just about to kill over with starvation. Tomorrow is my 1 week post op and moving on to full liquids but I wish I had restriction now so I would not feel so hungry.
I just had to vent!

I am sorry you are feeling crappy. That is one of my fears is feeling hungry but I hear ti gets better. I am glad I read your post about not being happy with your surgeon..I almost went with Dr. Moran because his consult fee was half of what Dr. Enochs was but felt more comfortable with D. Enochs reviews. Hang in there!

I found that decaf hot tea with splenda helped me when I was feeling hungry. I don't know if it'll help you or not but you might want to try it. Since you can move on to full liquids tomorrow go ahead and have some tomato soup. When I went for my one week post op I saw the PA and was told that as long I'm handleing full liquids ok then I can move to pureed foods after 5 days. WooHoo! Actually now that I'm pretty much able to eat 'real' food I have more trouble with being hungry. So far today I've had 60oz of hot tea, 70oz of water plus some real food. When you go tomorrow ask when you can have oatmeal. There is a highfiber Quaker oatmeal that I make with hot milk then zap in the microwave until it's really thick. That seems to stick in my tummy longer than most things. I have 3 more weeks until I get my first fill and believe me I feel you pain. One other thing that helps me is to eat my soups, puddings etc.... with baby spoons. You can go to Target and get several for less than $3. I even bought some that they call disposable for if and when I go out to eat again. If you go to the $1 section as you go in the store you can get a glasses case to keep some spoons in your purse. Also, being on these boards it keeps my fingers and mind busy.
Hope things get better for you soon.
