How Dare she take Vacation!!!!
Just called Tricare, and they haven't received my Referral letter from my doc yet...
Hmmmmmmmm??? I wonder why....
I call the doc and "Donna in the referral office is on vacation, but it is on her desk ready to go"
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
Really?? couldn't slap that bad boy in the fax before heading out to God knows where?

I totally understand the frustration you are having.
A little word to the wise from my own experince is get copys of the papers they are needing to send and fax the stuff yourself by doing this you will know when and what has been sent.
If it were me I would go to my Doc office and get the papers that needed to be sent asap.
I think that when many of us make the choice to have wls we want to get the show on the road right away.
Stay strong a stay on top of this you will be glad you did in the end.
I think the paper chase is worse than the surgery.

I'd just find out when "Donna" will be back in and give her sweet call the first thing in the morning the day she returns from vacation. I'll bet she'll be rested and in a good mood and your sweet, gentle call will make sure that your referral letter will be one of the first things she tends to as she tries to dig out from the mountain that has certainly buried her desk.
