Does anyone have a knife? LOL
I just called Dr. Mann because my gall stones are getting worse!! Of course he can see me this Friday but of course I will be in Las Vegas visiting a cousin and I get home on Friday. I cannot re arrange or postpone this trip.. its not going to be a leisure fun trip (long story family crap) anyways I got a appointment on the 10th so that is better then the 22nd!!! So does anyone have a knife? Im ready to do my own Gall Bladder removal
The pain comes and goes and really fires up when I eat or drink something... wish me some pain free days till I can see him. Thanks everyone for listening to me rant on.. Ill see everyone on the 7th!

Darcie,
I am so sorry you are having such pain - did Dr. Mann give you anything for pain?? And did he recommend a bland diet - absolutely no spicy or greasy foods? Are they still planning to do the endoscopy? I would think not since the problem is gallstones.
Hope things go well on your trip and you can be pain-free while gone.

Sheila,
Thanks for your post, no I didnt get to talk to him I talked to his nurse. I think once he saw the stones he is going to cancel the scope since he can see its gall bladder problem. No one told me anything about a diet, THANK YOU I guess its good Ive eaten bland foods all my life... totally plain and totally boring LOL and ewww greasy foods just make me want to hurl thinking about them!! Thanks for the well wishes on the trip... I also hope I can stay pain free while away for the few days!!

it sucks. i promise, i know. i am getting my gallbladder out wednesday with my lap rny. (oh joy!)
some tricks my GI (he is hindu and verges on homeopathic. this is my regular GI, not my surgeon) taught me that has kept my gallbladder drama at bay for the past couple months: flax seed oil!!!.... no yeast, caffeine and extremely limited amounts of carbs.
It has dramatically deminished the amount of intrusion i feel from my gallbladder since i changed my diet.
good luck and do some reasearch online in the meantime. a quick diet change can help you hold out til surgery.

Oh Darcie I am so sorry that you are going through all this pain. I remember that feeling like it was yesterday and I do know you are miserable. I wish you less pain on your trip while you are dealing with your family issues and I hope you will soon get some relief. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Donna
Well shoot, Darcie. I was also thinking about Googling foods that help or worsen gallbladder symptoms. So sorry you have to go on that family trip while feeling so poorly but hope you accomplish what you need to do. The 10th is MUCH better than the 22nd...especially when you are in pain. Hope you find a few tricks that help give you some relief in the meantime, even if it means some good ol' pain meds!
