Pre-opt appointment today
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know I had my pre opt with my surgeon and hospital today, I was afraid that my surgery would be postponed because I have a sinus infection and I am on azithromycin, but Dr. Pirrello said that its fine as long as I don't have to take a second round and I'm not sick the day before surgery.
Say so extra prayers for me I don't want to have to postpone. Otherwise eveything went great and I've actually lost 12 pounds since my first visit, I guess all that walkin and doing without has paid off. Two more weeks getting very excited, I will post later when it gets closer. Hope everyone has a great weekend, at home, since we have a gas shortage, LOL

Hi Jenny,
I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well. Keep up the good work. It's laying a great foundation for you once you have your surgery and that will be here before you know it.

Jenny, So good to hear an update from you! I hate to hear you have the sinus infection, but it's really good you got right on antibiotics to knock it out before surgery. Fingers crossed this round of meds does the job! Congrats on the 12 lb. loss...do you have to do a 2 week pre-op diet? The gas thing has been ridiculous here in the mountains. I wasn't sure I'd make it to my psych consult today, which was an hour away, but hubby went out at midnight tonight to get the gas we needed. I was so thankful there was a station open without too long a line! Anyway...good luck...can't wait to hear your next update!

I was told I could take my antibiotics day of surgery because that would be my 10th day and that they also give you an antibiotic before surgery. They didn't act like they were to concerned about being sick and of course I'm feeling better but its not completely out of me yet. The blood work came back that something was high and I asked them what it was and they said it showed I had some kind of infection in my body and it was probably from the sinus infection. I think what lead up to me getting sick was alot of stress I was dealing with a couple weeks before.
I'm just ready for Monday to get here so I can be on the other side and get my new life started.
