OT: What are you doing this weekend?

I am waiting on hubby to get home from getting gas for our trip to Hickory tomorrow and was thinking about the weekend ahead.  Found myself wondering what all of you are going to be up to?

As for us, tomorrow I get to FINALLY have my psych consult...the last hurdle before meeting with the surgeon!  Hubby is going to make the trip with me and I need to renew my driver's license while we are there.  It's a big football game tomorrow night at the HS, so our daughter is staying after for student government and the game.  Hubby will meet her there but I am going to keep our lil' man at home and watch the debate (I hope!).

This weekend we will continue to work on our remodeling project.  It ended up the entire 12'x42' deck had to come all the way DOWN because the entire ledger board has to be replaced.  We aren't ones to do a job without doing it right, so the whole thing is getting rebuilt.  We will reuse as much of the old as possible and replace with new what needs it.  What a JOB!

The kids are out of school Monday and the only plan is that they both have dr. appointments that day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and that those of you on the coast aren't battered by the coming storm!

Ummm Let me see - starting with Friday, I am going to a Grandparent's Day at Steele's school (grandson)  He called me last night and asked if he could come home with me after the *thing* and I said of course!  He might get to spend the night with me, too.
Saturday I am teaching ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - it is a certificate class that must be updated every 2 years for nursing.  Then I hope to meet Lori and Mattie (daughter and grand-daughter) for supper somewhere because Lori's Birthday is Saturday... She will be 29 - her husband has to work... poo-poo
Sunday - I get to stay at home and catch up on all the things that I don't get done and probably don't even want to do.. LOL

Good luck in Hickory... Give us an update when you can.

Hey girl...  I don't have any set plans for this weekend, my Aunt and Uncle are in town from Kentucky so I'm sure we'll spend some time with them.  Oh, I just remembered... all my family (21 of us) are going to the Sandpiper (a seafood resturant) on Sunday after Church.  Other than that I'm sure we'll mow the lawn if it's not wet, work on the chicken coops, clean branches out of the yard and I'll probably clean the house.  I think we have to mow Rex' parents lawn and take the pool down - ugh, sounds like my weekend is planned already...  Thank God I have Monday off also, I'll need it to catch up on what I didn't have time to do...  lol!!!

Good luck with your deck, I can't wait until we can start ours!  Keep us posted on your psych eval!!!  I hope you have a great weekend!!!

Well it is supposed to rain here all weekend so I will spend it inside with the kiddies.  I will probably rent some movies for them and do some fall cleaning.  It is time to get all the summer things out of the closets.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I think I will be hitting the books this weekend.  I have 200 pages to read before monday.  Then I wil start getting the house ready for winter.  Starting next week I will be working full time and be in class 2 nights a week, so the last weekend before cramming!

Sarah just started high school and came home with a bug Wednesday, poor baby. At any rate, I'll be nursing her some today too. I hope she's better by the end of the day and it's just a short term thing.

Later today, I'll make a nice pot of vegitable beef soup to ring in the cool fall weather.

Tonight I'm going to see "Nights in Rodanthe" with Lorrie and Margaret from the Raleigh Support Group ... After the movie ... I don't know if we'll try to head over to Cary to dance our tails off if Jaime ... I wish they were on different nights.

Saturday, I'm supposed to go to an all-day scrapbook event where I'm hoping to get a good start on scrapbooking so many of the wedding related memories made this summer. I have about 500 photos to pour through, sort and start scrapbooking/journaling. I hope to make a dent in it tomorrow.

Sunday... I have a lot of should do's, but we'll see. I need to spend a couple of hours grooming one of my Havanese dogs. He was the only one with a long coat when I left for CA and unfortunately it's full of mats ... I have plenty of other should do's... We'll have to see how far I get.

Good luck with your psych appointment.

Have a great weekend,

Barb

Barb,  I just had to tell you...I have a half Havanese, half Lhasa Apso baby girl!  Madeline Blue ("Maddie") is 4 years old and I just love her to pieces.  I read that Havanese tend to not like to eat alone and that is Maddie!  She will eat when we are in the room, but she can't stay and eat alone.  She is at my side ALL of the time...if I move, she moves.  She even sits outside the shower while I'm showering.  Do yours do the same?

Hope you have a great time tonight and with your scrapbooking tomorrow.  I'm sorry to hear Sarah is sick.  Our lil' man missed Tuesday through Friday of school this week and he has managed to give it to me as well.  I'm in bed dying.  Hope Sarah is better soon!

I will give an update on my psych consult later...it went GREAT!

Hi Shauna,

Yes ...Havanese are definitely the ultimate companion dog. They absolutely love to be with their people. I used to breed them and I have more Havanese than any sane person should have ... there numbers may contribute to my lack of sanity. LOL.

Sarah still isn't 100 percent, but seems to be on the mend. I just hopes she keeps it to herself. I'm not interested in sharing.

I'm delighted to hear that your appointment went well.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm hoping to have a do nothing weekend.

There's a birthday dinner Saturday night at my Mom's for her husband's granddaughter (I'm guessing that would make her my step niece?) She's an adult so it should just be a nice relaxing evening with the extended family.

Other than that I must have 10 loads of laundry to do. We've had revival all week so there's been no time to do anything this past week.

Hope everyone has a great day & weekend.

- Iris
