I had lap band surgery last year and the thing I remember most was getting in the protein.
You should experiment with different types of protein drinks and decide which one you could get down the easiest and stock up on that. My husband gets on protein diets a good bit and he always got whey protein powder and made shakes with milk. I found out that the Slim Fast Low Carb Diet shakes were tolerable so I mixed one of those with the whey protein, and 1 cup milk sipped constantly. It makes a big enough shake to last a long time and has approx (with 2 scoops of whey) 70 grams of protein and that's your whole days worth unless you can get more in.
Hope this helps and good luck to you on your big day

Check w/your surgeon's office to be sure of what they suggest, but I'd be sure to have plenty of sugar free popcicles, crystal light and your preferred protien drink.
After surgery be sure to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk ... it will help your recovery enormouslly.
I wore a loose dress that didn't require me to wear a bra when I had my surgery that way I didn't have anything 'binding me' ... it was so comfortable.

I was outpatient with my lapband. I really didn't need anything but myself. Go in really loose clothes because you'll have to get dressed before you leave and it will be easier when your tummy is sore to have something just to slip on. Wear shoes you can slip on, or bring your slippers to wear home. I was still so out of it i don't remember how I got dressed, or for that matter, who dressed me! Save the dressing up for later! Make sure you get a full body before pic too!
