Tofu!!!

Whoever said Tofu was tasty was lying!!!  I tried to cook tofu tonight in an attempt to try to broaden my food scope.  It is very high in protein and was hoping it would be one of those soft foods I could eat after surgery.  I cooked it like I was making chicken fajitas, browned it in a skillet with ff broth and tomatoes, onions and green peppers, yum right....NO, it taste like cardboard!!!  Looks like it is still a no go!

I feel your pain.  I have tried tofu several times over the years but just can't get past the smell much less the taste.  Something that I think is  a problem for me is that I just don't know which type to buy and how to prepare it correctly.  I wish I could go to a tofu tasting/cooking class to learn how to prepare it and actually be able to eat it. 

BTW - I'm still not having much luck with the Greek Yogurt either....

I met you at Terri's Open house right??  I see that you have already had your surgery!! Good for you!!  I have still not tried the greek yogurt yet, I don't like yogurt at all so haven't even tried it yet.  So did everything go okay for your surgery?

Yogurt has never been one of my favorites and there have been only a few flavors that I could barely tolerate.  I do wish I could develop a taste for it.

What kind of tofu did you use and how did you prep it?  It does have to be picked, prepped, and prepared *just right.*
