To the famous Suzanne muffins I added some peanut butter chips
it was very tasty.
Zenny even likes the muffins too.
Right now I am totally completly filled up in fact could not even finish the muffin.
I remeber in the past when I could eat two regular muffins not now probally never again so I am now a one muffin girl.

Oh, now that sounds good!  Try adding a tablespoon of dry cocoa to the mix with the PB chips...  aren't they fun?  And it's true I can't eat a whole one at one sitting.  I think the best part is that they are so GOOD for you!  My cholesterol numbers have dropped significantly since I started eating them.  And there is so much more you can do with the flax meal as well... try coating chicken with it...

Thanks for the idea on the chicken,
I love these parmesean encrusted chicken tenders I get at HT and put on my half a cup of fresh spinach so I was thinking I could make these myself.
Have you tried PANKO bread crumbs yet?
They are wonderful and very light.

I haven't tried them but know I would love them, I just stay away from carbs whenever possible... it seems to be the only thing that is keeping the weight off.  I am so frustrated with this hypothyroidism...I have been on meds for about a month now and still haven't lost any weight and my hair is still falling out like gangbusters!

I'm sorry you're still having problems.  Are they re-testing your thyroid numbers and adjusting your meds?  I've heard that it often takes quite a bit of trial and error before finding the right mix.  :(  Not what you really want to deal with, is it?  Hopefully everything is on an even keel soon.

Thank you so much, Deb, for your support.  I just wish the process were faster, y'know?  I feel as though I have lost precious time in my early months post-op struggling to lose weight when this should have been the easy times!  Well, on the plus side, it has certainly altered my eating habits and I have developed and maintained much healthier habits, so I suppose that is a positive!  LOL  I will call my PCP this week and let him know of my continuing frustrations.  He has me scheduled to retest in November but I sure don't want to wait that long!

Hey Suzanne...my doc made me wait 6 weeks for testing as said it takes that long to get in your system and build up.   Good luck my friend.

I thought the meds were helping your thyroid?

Sounds like what Deb said it takes adjusting.
Did you say hair?
What hair LOL everytime I comb or brush mine it falls out.
Zenny still likes to preen what I have left.

Yes, I thought they were too, and I am sure they are as I don't feel the deep depression I was having before and also my skin around my eyes and nose is not quite as scaley as it was, but my hair loss has increased and there has been no weight loss which there really should with this drug.  And the skin is still quite scaley and flakey.
