OT: Sarah has hurt her leg ...

Right after the wedding Sarah's leg that had not been operated on dislocated and she fell hard to the ground injurying both legs. She seemed sore, but okay after the wedding and during the reception. However, now the leg that was reconstructed has ballooned up and is hurting constantly. She's been icing and elevating it, but it's still very swollen and painful. She was visiting my mother's home here in CA last night when she called me in tears saying that she's afraid that all of the work that was done on and for her left leg has been undone and that she can't go through it again. My heart just aches for her. I did my best to comfort her and she seems to be doing better. We are flying back to NC at the crack of dawn Tuesday morning. We get back to NC Tuesday night and turn around and head off to NYC Wednesday morning to see her surgeon. Even if we didn't have an appointment to see him already, we'd probably be going up to see him because of this.

Please keep her in your prayers. I am hoping that she just strained the leg and that it is having trouble getting back to normal because it's still recovering from the extensive surgery. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the surgeon has to say.

I am hoping for the best for Sarah. She has been through so much lately. Hopefully like you said she just aggravated it and it may just take some rest and recovery time to heal again. Tell her to keep her chin up and think positive. Thinking about you both!
