My sister called while I was at my mothers and said we need to fill up with gas asap.
My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Texas.

Thanks Annie.......my whole family (husbands and mine) are in TX.  And they are exactly where the eye is supposed to hit.  I have been praying for the past few days for them and are very worried for them all.  My side of the family is stubborn and did not evacuate.  But my husbands family did.  So yeah keep everybody in Tx in your prayers.

Amanda,
I understand how one can feel about not evacuating I said that just a week ago mainly because of my animals.

Hi Amanda,

I hope that your family will be okay. I can imagine your concern. I'll keep them in thought and prayer as the storm makes it's way. Please let us know how they are doing as you find out.

Hugs,

Barb

Most definately!  I have friends who live in Galviston, they left on Wednesday to drive to San Diego and said they'd probably not go back.  I also have friends in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio who are moving to higher ground until this passes.  I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers!

We spent 4 years out in Texas and loved it.  Lots of good friends there.  We are definitely thinking of them and sending up prayers for their safety and everyone in the path of Ike.

We have family in Texas, down near Harlingen/Brownsville and are keeping them in our prayers. We also have family in the Houston area that we are praying for as they face this huge hurricane.

We are hoping that all will be well and safe.
