I AM Back on Track TODAY!

Again, thanks so much to all of you *****plied to my post and PM'd me last night.  What a TREMENDOUS help you all were.  I am so thankful I didn't wake today to start 2-3 months of liquid fasting.  (What the heck was I thinking?!)

Before going to bed last night, and again when I woke up this morning, I meditated...focused in on seeing/feeling myself once again making the right foods in the right portion sizes and getting in enough water.  I had been doing so well and, thankfully, I'm off to a good start today!

I'm still on the oral Benedryl and feel really crappy.  It makes my emotions go haywire.  You know I am needing it badly when I take it because I hate the way it makes me feel!  The topical just isn't working this time.  I'm hoping I won't be driven to take the next oral dose sometime between 11am-1pm.  There are functions at both the HS and elementary tonight.  Think I am going to have to wear long pants so as not to scare everyone!  ha!

Off the subject, but wanted to share...  We had professional tree guys come out on Saturday to take out the dangerous trees on our property.  Something like nine in all, besides the "hangers" (limbs).  It was AMAZING watching them!  What was really cool was that we got twice the entertainment because there was a flying squirrel that was rousted and he/she kept gliding from tree to tree.  I way overused the word AMAZING all day and kept getting made fun of, but it was...simply...in a word...~~~***AMAZING***~~~!!!!!!

Awww - Shauna.... I worked last night and didn't read your post yesterday until just now... I have to say that I agree with everyone's thoughts - 2 pounds is not enough to worry too much about.  It is hard to daily do the *right thing* but you are doing great.

I did the modified liquid diet for nearly 3 weeks before I went to the doctor and then the liquids, BUT I had a plan as you know... So wait until closer to time - like when you have a surgeon appt set up.  Then gradually go into the liquid diet.  Don't make your self suffer over 2 pounds or the liquid diet too far in advance.

Glad so much is getting done in the remodeling and the flying squirrel sounds very entertainng.

Take care,
Shelia

It's going to be a great day (wasn't that the Kellogg's Jingle?). You've got the grit and determination to make it great. I feel your pain with the Benedryl - the stuff makes me loopier than I already am. I'd probably see flying monkeys.

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this message due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
