I finally got a surgery date!!! September 25th!! thats sooo close! i thought this day would never come! i feel like ive been waiting for years! im so excited i dont even know what to do with myself!! i havent been reading or posting much on here latly cause i was getting really discouraged that i was never going to get the surgery! but now i can get back into the swing of things cause before i know it ill be on the loosers bench with everyone else!!!!!! i swear i have goose bumps everywhere! i was starting to hate tricare for taking so long to make a decision but now i love them! they are saving my life!!

I'm so excited for you!!! I know how I felt when I finally got my surgery date... I was 100times worse then a little kid at Xmas!!! What hospital are you going to be at? Keep up posted!!!
oh yeah - and don't forget we've got to go to dinner or lunch before your surgery!! :O)

thank u everyone for your replies!! yes i am very excited words cant even explain! now i can actually feel like im part of the group!! :)

i will be having my surgery in greenville at Pitt. I was supossed to have it at Nash, but a couple things there i werent to happy about so i got switched! i still have the same doctor.. dr macdonald.. just going to Pitt instead! :)

Unfortunately, I had to delete this message due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

We have the same surgery date!!! I found out on the 8th! We can do this together! I am still waiting on the final go from my insurance but the 25th is my tentative date!! Here in Raleigh, I will be praying for you as well!
