..... WAS A NO GO !!

First of all i had to do a partial sit up so dr mac could find my port. this went on for a while. after inserting the needle he has to find the right angle of the port. he pushed & pushed & pushed & pushed while im using every bit of my strength to keep myself partially raised up.
something is wrong .. my port is positioned funny or turned over.
so anyway, my fill has to be rescheduled and done under Xray.
im bummed and hurting like heck.
im serious when i say i feel like im 1st week post op. im in so much pain right now. it hurts to sit up or walk.
dr mac got mad because ive already broken the rules by eating chicken(solid foods). like i told him, i have no restriction and food just goes right thru me. i cant help it. im soooo darn hungry all the time. my tummy was growling the entire time i was there

on a bright note, ive lost 19 pounds since the day i left the hospital(24 days ago).
24 total.

i should know sometime wednesday when my appt is. i will keep yall posted

Oh Melissa I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I know it hurt having him dig around like that, but I also know he wouldn't have done it if he didn't have to. Hopefully they can get your x-ray fill done soon so you can feel back in control. 19lbs is great, specially since you're feeling no restriction!

Hey chickie - I sent you a pm. So sorry that you feel like you're back at week 1. That was not enjoyable as best I remember. Just imagine if you become an exercise junkie you'll be doing sit ups all the time.

Melissa, keep your chin up girl. I know that was not a fun appointment, sorry for the pain and not getting the fill. BUT look at the progress you've already made... 19 pounds is fabulous! Keep us posted on how things are going! We're rooting for you! Alice

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch one of my main reasons for no lap band.. I have the worlds worst luck when it comes to needles..Congratulations on your weight loss!! best of luck to you on your next go!!

Unfortunately, I had to delete this message due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
