Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Good luck with your fill tomorrow.  I bet you're just feeling the effects of the swelling diminishing which is a good thing.  I have my fingers crossed for you!

Good luck on your first fill.  Your band loosening is a good sign.  That means the surgery swelling has gone down and you are ready to begin letting your band help you lose.  You have done great so far and will continue to do so.  I'm so happy for you.  Try not to worry.  I'm sure things will iron themselves out.  You are still not very far out from surgery and with your fill your adventure will be beginning in ernest.

Good luck!
Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...

Shelli -

I think you have done great these past few weeks but as you said it is time for something in the band.  You know what it is like to be too tight and now loose, so you have a reference point.  I have nothing to compare with.  I go for my first fill on Wednesday and I am nervous about it.  I have been yo-yo-ing for about 3 pounds now for 2 weeks.  And I am more than frustrated.  Also I have been journaling my food on MydailyPlate and find that I am lucky to get 600 calories a day and my nutritionist says to aim for 1000.  I feel sure my body thinks it is in starvation mode.

So good luck, my friend.  And wish me luck on Wednesday when I go back to the surgeon.

Take care,
Shelia

Shelli - You have to think positive! This coming from me ..I know! LOL It seems that you just experienced some excessive swelling post op and now your swelling is down. As mentioned by someone else, you know what too tight feels like. Have a great fill and let us know how it goes!
