OT: I need some input, please

Hello,

I need some help from my OH friends.  I am attempting to write a fiction novel and am terrified.  I have so many reservations about actually going through with the entire process.  I was thinking if maybe I got some feedback, it would help.  If you would not mind, please read my first chapter and give me some honest feedback.  I can handle it! :)

Hi Jamie,

I read your 1st chapter and while it may not be the "Great American Novel"  it is well written and kept my interest.  I await the next installment!  I am a big reader so keep writing.

Keep writing and don't give up.  You need to pursue your dreams.

Keep writing cause the first chapter is enough to get me to read the next one.
