The answer is blowing in the wind

Well Annie, although it stressed you out, I'm glad to hear that you're coming through the storm just fine.  Relax today and enjoy the fact that you came through the weather OK!  :)

All was/is fine here.  Lots of rain and only a little wind.  Spirit & Shadow had a blast playing in the rain this morning, they looked like a couple of puppies, it was kind of funny!  I think they enjoyed it knowing they'd get rubbed down with the towel when they came back in! :)

I was checking the reports and it looks like the worst of it blew by okay. I hope that you and yours survived it well. I'm also hoping that our basement hasn't turned into a swimming pool while we are out here.

We're here in all to 'sunny' California. The wedding is tomorrow.

I'm hoping that our basement hasn't turned into a swimming pool. I guess we'll find out soon.

Here in the Big town of Beaufort we made out fine.  LIttle limbs no unusual flooding.  We had no rising water from the creeks and marsh in our back yard.   My girl friends and I went out last night over to the Sherton on the Beach and watch Jim Cantorey do his thing on the beach.  He is a little hottie for sure.  It was funny though to watch full grown adults with cell phones to their ears try, try to act like "oh I'm a normal idiot that for some unknown reason is on the beach standing behind a weather man on TV, and Oh hey mom let me give you a big wave!"  Look at me!  I felt sorry for the the young girl working with him.  She kept going back and forth asking people to please move back or get out of the back drop so he could report. I know this is probably normal but alot of them just plain looked at her and walked right up behind him and waved anyways.  We aren't talking young kids either.  I give him alot of credit for being very polite.  He did shake hands, sign autographs and take pictures with everyone.  The town police stood up on the pier where we were just  watching  as the poor man was mobbed inbetween takes.  He was basically on his own with no security other than the camera man and this young girl.  In any event the wind is howling still and life goes on.

What is it that makes you want to eat everything in sight during a hurricane anyways!

Annie, I am glad things are ok for you.  We also faired well. A few limbs down and debris to pick up but all in all not bad.
