Just called Pitt and I am to be at the hospital at 5:15 am...(geez, I'm usually just turning over good...lol).  I am full of anxious energy today.  It all feels so surreal.  OMG - I'm going to the loser's bench tomorrow!

Oh that's wonderful - I know it's early but hey there's less to hold things up this way. You're at the top of the list in the morning.

Put that energy to good use - clean the house, change the sheets, get all your protein stuff where it's easily accessible to you. If there's anything that you have to bend to reach  - MOVE IT NOW. (extra toilet paper under the counter) Put the laundry detergent where you won't have to lift it.

Have a leisurely afternoon and as hard as it will be try to get a good night's sleep tonight. 5:15 comes early but guess what? It's your turn.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Thank you Iris.  As one of my friends who had wls 4 years ago said today - "go ahead and make your nest".  LOL  I love that wording!  I've got books and magazines, cds, dvds, etc all withing easy reach.  Yep and the toilet paper has been stocked within easy reach.

It's my turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WooHoo!  Believe me, it's best to be early on the schedule so you won't get delayed.

I work at Pitt so I'm going to try to get by to see you on Friday if you're up to it.  I was going to come with Darcie but I have to leave around noon that day.  Hopefully you'll get in a room tomorrow... and not have to stay in the PACU like so many others have....

I'll be thinking and praying for you in the morning.  Alice

Pam, thank you for the good thoughts and prayers.  Honestly, I can't even begin to imagine what my new life is going to be like.  I read how those of you 'on the other side' say but I still have problems imagining this for myself.  But after tomorrow it will all be reality!!!!!!!!!

I am down 100 lbs and it is still hard to sink in to my brain!   I go to the store and try on clothes that are to big as i can't comprehend that the smaller ones will fit....lol.    When i look in the mirror, i still see the same me.   One thing to do if you haven't already done so is take before pics and make sure to take new ones every 2 to 3 months to compare.   That is the only way i can see it in myself.   They say it takes a while for the brain to catch up to the body and for me that has been the real truth.   A year ago the surgery was just a thought (i hadn't even saw the surgeon yet) and now i am down 100 lbs.   You will also get here.

Take care and God Bless,

Pam
