Complications and Recovery!
You were all such amazing support to me when I felt so terribly right after my surgery, I feel I owe you an update. I spent 4 weeks hospitalized, and after three more surgeries, they found that the opening between my pouch and my intestine was only 3 ml. big! No wonder I was so nausuas. There's no way I could have eaten anything like that! The surgeon reparied the scar tissue, and since then I've been able to eat some things.
My question is...I'm still nausaus and throwing up, just with not nearly the frequency. What am I doing wrong? I'm also so, so weak. It's hard to move around due to muscle weakness. Don't get me wrong...I feel a gazillion times better than I did, and I think I'm recovering, I'm just very gun shy and wondering if these current symptoms are normal things you all have gone through or if it's my body getting sick again!
Thanks for listening!
Jenn
Hi Jenn,
It takes a while to recover even if you didn't go through what you went through. I think it's going to take a while for you to regain your strength. I also had some issues with nausea early on, but it wasn't severe. If you have any significant issues with the nausea, be sure to stay in touch with Dr. Pryor. there are some medications they may be able to give you to help with it.
I look forward to hearing that you are recovering well and gently.
All the best,
Barb

Hey Jenn...glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Because of all your surgeries, you may be experiencing more symptoms that some of us have and it could be completely normal. If you continue the throwing up and nauseousness, i would just give your doc a call to assure yourself that indeed, everything is ok.
Take care, Pam
