Side Effects after Surgery

I don't know if this is an effect of the surgery or not - it wouldn't be a bad idea to call your doctor's office and let an expert answer.

As many of you know, I recently had surgery for pain that I was having and had adhesions near my liver and they removed my band. My surgery was 8/15/08. Anyway, since surgery, I have had loose bowels. Prior to surgery I never went to the bathroom without medicine (TMI)

Is it normal to have to go to the bathroom about 6 or 7 times a day. This has never happened to me prior to this.

I would call your surgeon. With my RNY I go maybe twice a day, if that. We are taking in less food so 6 or 7 times a day could be excessive. It could possibly be your body recovering from the surgery but i would definitely call them.
