The issue I ran into with the nuts was that the info they gave me (a year plus ago) did not always jive with Dr. Pirrello's instructions. And since he is he one that rerouted my insides, I figured he knew best, so I went with his instructions. A case in point, the nut instructions at one point said that you did not have to have the last snack if you were not hungry. Dr. P almost read me the riot act when I saw him at one year, because I was supposed to eat every 3 hours without fail, period, no missing times, and he said I should make sure I was not even a minute late. Because my metabolism is so slow that any delay makes my body think that I'm starving it and so it will slow down more! Please note that this is my issue, not everyone has the slow metabolism I do, so don't take the info I got from Dr. P as instructions you should follow. But it is an example of how the nuts' instructions are not as personalized for the individual as the doctor's instructions are. YMMV (your mileage may vary!)

anything soft.......... eggs, cottage cheese, tuna with a very little mayo, refried beans, pureed homemade chili etc..... no deli meats, crackers or lettuce........

I can eat all foods on my list with no problems, any kinds of meats, lettuce, fruits....... follow the rules and don't jump ahead....... take care of your pouch........you will do great.......... and by all means always take your supplements.......
