I do believe the sun is out to stay a few days. I am forbidden to return to the gym by my PCP until after the surgeon clears me after the surgery. My PCP wants me to avoid exposure to anything else that might delay my surgery again. But she says since the Bark Park is outdoors the risk of catching anything is way less and she thinks its okay. Had to take my DH to work last night and then pick him up this morning because I went to a Drs appoint with him before work. He is on a heart monitor thingie that is clipped to his belt and he will wear that for about a month. I guess it records stuff when he feels funny. The docs will then determine if his meds are doing their job or something. THe good news is he has a form of heart condition related to being of Japanese decent. It is not likely to cause him to have a sudden arrest. He just has to be monitored and mind his cholesterol and other factors more diligently than most. He has really clean arteries even compared to a 20 year old even though he is 58, nearly 59 years old. He is not to become sedentary but he is not to compete in a triathelon either. He is happy with that and so am I.
So I have been up since 6 am and have applied for a few jobs that look interesting and flexible enough I can work around my surgery. Had breakfast at IHOP with DH on the way home from work. I had a spinach, tomatoe and bell pepper omelet and could only eat half. But it was really good. My DH will eat the other half when she gets up.
So for today I am minding my eating and making sure I drink water. For me the easiest way to keep from over eating is to stay busy. SO I am trying to do just that.

A friend of mine from the preggie board was just diagnosed with breast cancer... She's got 5 kids ( 4 are with her, one is an infant) and her hubby is stationed in Germany..  so I've been on the phone all day trying to figure out some resources we can help her with.

Did 30 min elliptical, and 30 min of upper body triple drops.

Hey Ann

The good part is that it cools down enough in the evening so you can take a walk which will give you some cardio and build yourself up!

Take care, Pam
