I fell through the floor!!!!
For the past few months, there's been a "springy" place on the floor in our master bathroom. I told DH and warned him, "you better take a look at this b/c somebody's gonna fall through the floor"! Of course, he ignored me and put it off, and last night, while I was putting some toiletries away that I"d got at the grocery.....I fell through the floor!!!
I'm talkin' hip deep in floor! The only way I got my leg out of the hole was when I thought I felt something crawling across it down there!!! AAACKK!!!
I hope I haven't injured anything that was operated on. The most pain is in my right arm and shoulder, which probably got banged against the tub. Thank goodness I had a few pain pills leftover....I think I'm going to take one and go back to bed!
It scared the bejeebers out of me, and also made me mad as HEck at DH...It takes something like this happening to get him moving. ARRRGH!
I'm glad I've lost 34 pounds, or I'd think I broke the floor because I was fat! LOLOL!

Lisa,
I'm so sorry that this happened. I know that my husband often thinks I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill when I tell him something needs to be done sooner than later. I think it might just be a 'man/woman' thing. Well, at least now, you'll get some remodeling done.
I hope you feel better soon and I'm glad you were seriously hurt.
Take care,
Barb

Lisa....Are you sure we are not married to the same man?? We had 3 pine trees that were close to the house and i wanted removed. Think they gave us a price of 1200 or 1500 bucks. Hubby decided we didn't need to have it done. About 2 months later we had an ice storm and a 70' tall pine fell onto the roof and big limb*****tured the ceiling in the room my son was sleeping in. By God's grace, a chest of drawers stopped it from squishing my son as he was slipping. And guess who had to report to the insurance company and line up contractors?? Needless to say, if something needs to be done now, I tell him i am hiring someone and then do. If he starts to object, I just remind him of the tree 5 years ago! If he says he is going to do something instead of hiring, i give him a time limit and then hire it out. No more fooling around for me.
Hope you are feeling better!
Take care, Pam
