thankfully, something good happens!

Thanks everyone, for encouraging me when I was so down.  I want you to know that I DID IN FACT get off my a**  (those two **'s are two s'es; figure it out) and go swimming.

Here's more good news.  You may remember that my husband has Parkinson's disease.  I did not think he would be able to understand enough about RNY to be my support person at the info session and surgery.  He doesn't hear well and sometimes is confused.  Plus he doesn't drive.

I have no other family nearby.  Well, my son is 2 hours away but he doesn't think I should do this surgery (He's young, idealistic, and thinks I should JUST LOSE WEIGHT).  So I called a girlfriend today, and asked her this big favor:  would she come to my info session, the doctor's appt., and the surgery, all of which is more than an hour away.  She didn't hesitate a second, she said YES!  So I will bring both her and my husband, and she can drive me to the surgery and home, when it comes to that.  She is very supportive and it's such a relief to me, I can't tell you.

Ok!  Let's get this show on the road!

Nancy - So glad to hear that you have things worked out - your educational class is next week, isn't it??  The show is almost on the road!

Really hate that you couldn't meet Shauna, Diane, and me for lunch today - but there will be other times...

Isn't is wonderful to have a girlfriend?  Nothing like it.

I'm glad you found someone to go with you!  It will help to have an extra set or two of ears.  I wish you lived closer, I'm sure we'd all be very willing to do whatever needed to be done to help you.   Keep us posted!!!!

Nancy,  That is just the best news.  I'm so glad you have that worry lifted from you and have such a sweet friend to be your support person.  I will look forward to meeting her!  If we do not have surgery at the exact same time, I plan on being there for you as much as I can as well.

That is fantastic to hear! Im so glad you went to the pool and went for a swim thats great to hear about your friend. I dont have any family out here as we are from California only stuck here for military.... so I know how you feel! If you lived closer to me I would drag you out to the gym on base and we could have lots of fun best of luck on your path to a healthy you!!
