Cigna and Center's of Excellence

Does anyone know if it makes it easier to get approved by Cigna if you are going through their center of exellence?

Now, don't trust this as gospel.. especially since it's second-hand hearsay..

But I thought I'd heard that if you meet all the requirements set forth by your insurance, and follow all the requisite testing, that as a center of excellence, your claim is automatically approved..

I sure hope so!

It just happened to me with BCBS of NC! It better be gospel!

NO, it does not, unfortunately!  I still had 2 denials and 1 failed appeal before they approved me to have surgery at one of their COEs -- which happens to be the facility I work for, and also where my insurance is!
