HellO New friends
Hi everyone,
I have'nt posted much kinda backwards. But am very excited to say I have a surgery date Sept 18th. I start my preop diet next thursday. Never thought I would be excited about not eating. I am not sure of what protein powder to use. I am having Lap Band Surgery. I know I will be around more for the support. Just wanted to say hi friends.

Renea,
Welcome to the NC boards! First of all, find out what your doctor wants you to do for your pre-op. Mine wanted low carb slim fast shakes which has 20 gms of protein. I was told it was okay to use the vanilla one with frozen fruit - like strawberries once in a while. I could also use Atkins Advantage - but that only has 15 gms protein.
I ordered some samples from www.unjury.com of chocolate, vanilla, unflavored and chicken protein packets. I have used them in pudding - sugar free, fat free pudding mixes with skim milk and one packet of protein.
Congratulations on your surgery date. Post often so that we can get to know you.

I went to Dr. V also. They have samples of protein powders available at the clinic- SEB. You can pick and choose which ones you prefer. I chose the Matrix Chocolate and it was pretty good. I didn't like the cookies and cream much, but I am told it's their best seller. Best of luck to you! I had Roun Y on Aug. 13th. Can't believe it's been 2 weeks already.
