protien bar request

1 1/2 C oats
1/4 c toasted coconut
1/4 c toasted slivered almonds
2 Heaping T chocolate chips
2 scoops protein powder
2 T cocoa powder
1 T honey
1 C powdered milk
1/2 c water
2 T flaxseed



Directions

 
Over low heat, toast almonds, then add cocount for a few seconds.
Mix all ingredients and press into a greased bread pan. Allow to set refrigerator. When hardened, dump from the pan and slice into 9 even bars.
Store in individual baggies in refrigerator.

Number of Servings: 9

Keep in mind you can play with this recipe.
I like to add chopped dried fruit sometimes and always add an extra scoop of vanilla protien powder.
I would not recommend this to early pre ops.
I have found this to be very filling and it stays in the pouch for a few hours.
I love to have my protien bar with my small cup of coffee in the morning.

Annie, hey!  Is this the recipie you posted awhile back?  You said then that they weren't that sweet.....did you revise it?  I think I'll try them because I'm spending a small fortune on protein bars. I eat one every morning because I can't stand shakes, plus I like the feel of a crunch!

Yeap this is the recipie I posted before.
I love crunch and no they arent too sweet.
I too was spending lots on protien bars too and then I found this.
One batch seems to last me about one week.
