Had surgery on 8-21-08

Well I had my surgery on Thursday 8-21-08 at Pitt Memorial in Greenville. Dr MacDonald was my surgeon. Everything went well except there were "no rooms in the Inn". I went from operating room, to recovery, to pre-op. I stayed in pre-op until I left saturday morning. I had such wonderful care. The nurses were so kind. I even had a nice vistor Friday night. Michelle from Newbern and her husband came by and it meant the world to me. Anyway, I came back to work for a half day Monday and today. I am getting a long real good. I work for family so I can take my time and leave if I need to. Anyway, I am ready for the ride of a lifetime. Thanks for everyones support.

Glad to hear that you are progressing so well. Be careful not to overdo it. Which surgery did you have? I absolutely love Dr. MacDonald. Sorry that there were no rooms in the Inn.

I had the RNY also. When they discharged me I asked Dr. MacDonald if I could go to Kill Devil Hills because I had a wine tasting party to go to, he just smiled and said yes, stop several times and get out and walk and not drive if I drank. (haha) The beach is so healing to me, I felt so good when I got there. I came back to Conway on Sunday.

i also went back down to ASU like you did. the care was great although i was never encouraged to walk. they just called to follow up with me on that.

I am doing good. I am sore under by shoulder blades but I still think that was from lying in the bed. They didn't get me up to wal****il right before they discharged me.
I am working 1/2 days - I work for family, so I can come and go as I need to. I am really surprised at how good I am doing.
