Taking 8/25 off

I am worn out dealing with all that is going on with my mother.
I allow two days off from working out and Monday is going to be my day.
I have walked and walked all over Foodlion today without a cart plus walked my dogs this morning and got 45 minutes in on the treadmill.
When I got home today Lee left me a note saying mother had called and needed his help to turn her over in bed.
The care providers are making it very clear verbally to me that they are not able to handle her without added help.
My sister is looking into getting a lift instaled at mother house.
If I ever needed anything it just helps to know I can come here and vent and people do care.

((((Annie)))),

We do care! I'm sorry that you are having to do this ... and I'm so sorry that your mom is having a hard time. Just know that you are doing the best you can for yourself and her. Keep taking care of yourself, so you can care for her.

Hugs,

Barb

Caring for a sick parent is very hard and can sometimes really be mentally wearing as well as physically. I think you have done plenty of moving around today and even if you don't purposefully get on your machines any more today I know you won't sit down for long. BUt try to relax at least for a little while if you can.

Hi Annie, I know that dealing with a mother in failing health is tough.  Do take care of yourself in the process of taking care of your Mom.  You deserve a day off the treadmill today.... enjoy the break!

Like when our bodies need time off to recuperate when we've been physically ill, sometimes our body's need a rest when we are going through a lot emotionally.  You've gotten in a lot of activity already today so REST now.

Lee sounds like one heck of a man to drop everything and run over to help your mom.  Yes, you are one lucky gal there!  My daughter works at a healthcare facility and was just telling me yesterday about some of the patients they get just due to the fact that their obesity issue had gotten to the point they could no longer be cared for at home.  Their facility has had to add more and more equipment to care for SMO patients and it just breaks her heart.

I'm so glad coming here helps you.  Don't know what we'd do without our Annie.  We love you!
