I know many of you use a website to track your protein and calories, etc.  Please share which one you use and the reasons that you like it.  I am going to start working on that part of journaling besides my hand-written one.

I am going back to work today for half a shift... looking forward to seeing everyone.

I have written down my first goal... to reach 200 pounds.  It seems like a loonnnggg time since I have seen that number!  But I know I will see it again... and then never again!

Everyone have a great Friday !

Unfortunately, I had to delete this message due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Hi Sheila!

I started using Sparkpeople about two years ago. It is FREE and has a lot of cool things on it including a water jug you hit everytime you drink your water! For me thats a biggy as I hate water. You can also track all your activities and your foods www.sparkpeople.com

Best of luck at work today!!

Hi Shelia,

I've tried www.fitday.com, www.sparkpeople.com, and www.mydailyplate.com. My favorite is mydailyplate because it has an incredibly exhaustive database and I guess I'm lazy. I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel and 'create' my items which I had to do much more often with fitday and somewhat more often with sparkpeople. All of them have their pluses and minus' and all have a 'free' version you can use. I try each one out to see which suits your needs best and it's easy enough to switch horses later if want to do that.

Shelia,  I've resorted to keeping track on my computer Word Processor.  I wasn't a fan of any of the websites, and I tried them all.

Hope you have a good day at work today.  It was great meeting you last night!

Like Barb said, I tried all 3, but ended up at MyDailyPlate.com.  It's just the best set-up for me.  It's the easiest to use, you can track food and exercise.  It has a great database (including many restaraunt items.)  And, it's fairly easy to add an item if it's not there.  You can also add recipees that you make, or meals for certain combos that you make all the time.

But, you need to find the one that works for you.  Good luck!  MyDailyPlate is the ONE thing that keeps me on track with all of my day-to-day goals.

Well everyone - thanks for the info - I have checked out My Daily Plate and find it easy to use.  I will give it a try for a few days and then try something else.

I was surprised at the protein adding up over things like Campbell's vegetarian veggie soup...

It is the weekend for some folks, but not for me - working at the hospital both Saturday and Sunday.  Today was a breeze and I hope tomorrow will be, too....  Enjoy wahtever you are doing!
