Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

It happens.  It's completely normal.  Technically, you are in mourning for the life you've left behind and it hurts.  It's alright that it does, too.. because while you chose not to be that person anymore, that person was your life for a very long time.  Accept it, and try to move on.

Just keep chugging along.. it does get better, I promise.

I am sorry that you are going through this terrible phase!! It is completely normal and I went through it myself and sometimes still ask myself why the heck did I do this. When chinese food (my favorite) makes me vomit and eating a little bit of something makes me burp while I am taking care of my patients... it drives me INSANE!!! However, when I look in the mirror... I take a huge breath and say... this is worth it!! You and your health are worth the struggle and it will get easier! If you ever need to talk just email me and we can! I SOOO know where you are coming from.
