Dena, any updates on Amy?

I know Amy was having her lapband today...I was just wondering if you could tell me how she's doing.  I've been thinking about her all day!

Sorry, I haven't signed into OH in DAYS!!! 

She is doing great.  In fact, for those who didn't know it -- she had her lap band put in on Tuesday of this week (the 19th), and returned to work today (the 23rd).  She is feeling fantastic.

She had a lot of trouble waking up out of anesthesia Tuesday night.  I went up there and kept poking her and such to try to get her awake, but she just couldn't keep her eyes open.  She had to do the swallowing test twice because she wasn't awake enough to stand up long enough to fini**** the first time they tried.  Other than that issue, NO problems, whatsoever.

Wednesday, she took in like 77 grams of protein and probably the same amount of water.  She really did well. 

She hasn't seen any loss on the scale yet (today is Saturday), but I've told her that the shock to her system from the surgery and the IV fluids is still there.  Even though we're nurses, when it is US in the boat, it's hard to keep those types of things in mind.
