OT: Ended up @ the lake again!

Another beautiful weekend here locally. Why is that since we decided to sell our lake property...we can't keep AWAY! We decided to sell it because we didnt feel like we were using it enough and now...cant keep away! Does this mean we'll end up keeping it? LOL Who knows? I just know that I DO LOVE IT THERE!

I would love to live close to a lake or any body of water...  I would be a beach bum if I were... 
Just enjoy going as often as you can.  I think that these days we don't take the time to enjoy things that are dear to us and end up letting them go by the wayside.  And it is making the time, not finding the time.  I am the world's worst at letting too many other things get in my way...

Shelia - Your right about MAKING the time! And I'm glad we have....

Looks like you are close to us. Which Lake was it???  We have been on Lake Gaston for 30 years now. uuuuummmmmmmm telling our age huh. LOL When my hubby retired a few years ago, we finally built the cabin here. Before that we hit the road every weekend to the small place we had here. LOOOOVVVVVEEE the water. In fact in about 30 mins. we are going out riding to boat wanna come??? I am out of leave from my RNY and taking full advantage of the time and weather right now. :)

Lake Gaston is beautiful! Our property is at Lake Royale, it's a local private lake only 30 min's from our house...which makes it such a great getaway!

Ahhh, sounds so nice!  And Shelia made a great point.  ENJOY!  When we  moved from the lake in IN to the mountains of NC, we didn't bring any of the boats or tubes or anything.  I think we were just burned out on it all, but it doesn't take long to miss it again, so I hear what you are saying! 

Shauna - Being in the mountains is another truly beautiful place! We just camped up in Morganton...loved it! Floating down the river in tubes...ahhhh....

Maybe you could rent it out from time to time if you don't think you spend enough time there. That way you can still have it when you want it. Its good to have a place to go and soak up some vitamin D
