It was so wonderful meeting everyone. I got my first Annie hug and what a smile.  She just glows. She was sporting her size 18 pants and looked awesome. My DH thought Lisa was a little girl since she was so tiny. He was happy to meet all these people I talk of all the time. He pointed out to me that all of us loose weight very differently. So we should not compare clothing sizes and rate of loosing. And for a country boy ...he has got it right. I just want to say I admire the progress and determination of all I met.
I could tell that all the DH's there were supportive and proud of their wives.  The only problem I had, was,... getting there.....google got us.  I think some others had similar problems.
It is too far for me to go to every  meeting but I do plan to come again. I have great hopes that we can have a meeting at the Ashboro Zoo where all of the NC OH'ers can meet, talk and walk.
Want that be FUN!!!!

I still want to do that too! I know it would be a good outing and think if all the walking around the zoo! All those calories burned and more weight melting off! And meeting others that don't neccesarily make it to Raliegh but can make it to the zoo!

I want to go to the zoo too!!!!!!

So happy to hear what a lovely time you all had yesterday.    I've already informed hubby that a mini-vacation to Raleigh will be coming up someday, most likely post-op, to meet all of you lovely people in person.  He said he's all for it!

Myrtis:

I was so glad that you and your husband were able to travel such a long way to Raleigh and thank your husband so much for the lovely compliments! I wish I were a little girl again....lol. You have done such a great job and so have the others post-op! I just love attending these get-together. They also get me out of the house and keep my mind occupied and help me from the continued thinking of how I miss my son.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I have never met better people and have made lifelong friendships!

Love you guys!

Lisa

I really enjoyed our conversation. I hope to get to meet you at the next meetup I go to. The Zoo idea seems to be catching on. Ye ha... If you see Wilmington is having a meet let me know. I did not see one listed on the Meetup sight. I posted some photos there, I am sad that I did not get the entire group together. I guess I talked to much and people started leaving before I could get all together. You my friend are a delight and so is Carrie. I bet the two of you have gotten quite close riding together to the meets.
Till the next meet up

I'm so bummed that I missed seeing you all, especially the "out of towners"! My power went out so my alarm clock was flashing when my hubby came home : (  I'll be so glad when they're done with the construction around here!
I hope to eventually meet everyone, near and far! With all of the new group outings and area meetings... it's just EXCITING!
