The incredible edible egg!!!

Not sure if I spelled all that right but hold on to your hats I was able to eat one scrambled egg this morning.
It has been almost one year to the day I have avoided scrambled eggs.
scrambled eggs and cheese was my first food of choice when I went to the soft food stage.
I was so excited about having that when they said I could.
Well what started out tasting great ended up stuck and I have not touched scrambled eggs in a year.
Egg beaters no problem.
This morning Zenny and I have a morning ritual of eatting a protien bar we always share LOL.
Lee is on vacation and came in with a omlet he had cooked and boy it smelled wonderful.
He gave me a  bite and it worked.
So I got up and made me one scrambled egg with a little cheese and crumbled bacon.
So looks like eggs will be back on the menue again.
Also I am noticing they give Bubbles a nice full feeling.

That is great Annie!  I also have avoided scrambled eggs as they never seemed to sit right.   I think i am gonna try the DD turkey sausage, eggwhite flat bread today as it sounds so good.   The further we get out...the easier things become.

Take care and glad u enjoyed!

I like to make my omelet with a little cottage cheese. It is really light and fluffy and the cottage cheese melts nicely in it.

You may be surprised after your surgery how your tastes and tolerances change...

I think I am prepared to not be able to eat or even like what I eat now. Of course I can never be sure until I get there. But I am hoping for a lower desire for sweets cause thats my downfall and why I need surgery in the first place.

I have depended on these forums to learn as much as I can from you trailblazers. I know its pretty individual as to how it all works out but I still see a lot of commonality too and most of what I get from here I hope will help see me through. Basically your experiences shared rock! At the very least help me with realistic expectations instead of impossible goals. For that I thank everyone that shares here.

That is fabulous, Annie.  Man, you've made that sound so good, I think I know what I want for breakfast tomorrow.

Ann, I am a huge cottage cheese fan but have never tried them in eggs.  I will have to do that!

Have a great day, ladies!

Glad you can do eggs Annie, they really are good and easy for the morning.  I wish I could, but they hurt my stomach when I eat them.  I do find I can do egg whites and beaters, so I stick to them for the most part.  That being said, sometimes I just eat one anyway, and live with the consequences, lol.

Looking good Annie, sorry I missed the 18s, but maybe I'll get to come in September.  The gas is too expensive for me to come every month to the Raleigh meetups, so I try to limit to quarterly.

Take care.
Ellen

Yeah!!!   I love eggs!  I was very thankful when I was able to eat eggs, woo girl, nothing ever tasted sooo good!!  Anyway, I'm glad you're finally able to enjoy them again!  Rex and I have 7 hens and a female duck that just started laying eggs, it's been fun picking them up and being able to share them with my family (8 eggs a day is a lot!).. lol!

Anyway, I hope you have a great day!
