I know someone was discussing this before, and reading Myrtis' post about it reminded me.

Is someone organizing this?  I know Barb had mentioned helping, but she's so busy with the Raleigh group..

I'd be willing to help organize if noone else has decided to do this.  No fat girl stepping on toes here..

I can help too if you like! I actually don't live that far from the zoo so it might be easy for me to help in some capacity. I just haven't any experience in event planning but I guess with a ton of guidance I could learn and it would keep my mind off of waiting still another 5 weeks for my surgery LOL!

I would be able to help too.  I think this sounds like a great venue for a meet-up!

I'm about 3 hours from Asheboro.  My family and I would definitely love to come!  We would be happy to help out with anything you all need.  Just boss us around, and we're there for ya!

  I'm EXCITED!!!!!!

Well.. I seriously don't mind organizing this.  But I don't want to step on anyone's toes that may have already thought of planning it.  So if that person sees this and wants me to back off, lemme know, kay?

If not, expect some posts this week about it.

Andrea:

I think that would be great for you to organize this trip...we did say it may be better to wait until a Saturday when the weather is a bit cooler but no so cold that the animals are all in hiding. Perhaps you could make a call and find out when a good time for the animal visibilty is and we can go from there! Thanks for stepping up to the plate. I think this would be an awesome day.

Well, I promised DD a trip to the zoo before school started, but that was before I realized It'd take so long to recover.  We decided when it cooled off it'd be better, so that sounds great to me!  Keep me posted!  Thanks for taking this on, Andrea!  You're a doll!

Go for it, Girl!  If anyone can take the bull by the ba.... er, horns, it's YOU!!!!

Let us know when and we'll totally be there!  Gerald just LOVES playing with Daniel - I think it reminds him of when his kids were little, and he misses his 2 grandsons because they live in Maine.

If you need any help with it, let me know.

Great seeing your ever shrinking butt yesterday!
