OK - I'm gonna whine. (I've earned it, dammit!)
I am so frustrated and confused.
I am at a 43.0 BMI...which is FABULOUS to me BUT...
How come some of us are at a BMI of that or HIGHER and are wearing much smaller sizes than me?
I know I have some "excess skin" but not enough to justify that much of a difference in clothing sizes. I don't get in all the exercise that I should, I admit, but still...
I can feel the difference, for sure, but I want to SEE IT TOO!
Exercise is the answer, I guess.
Never mind. I have wasted your time and answwred my own question.
HAPPY WEEKEND ALL!

Mare:
I think part of that is the fact that we are short and all. I do think that plays a part in it. I know I was as big around as tall and it took many pounds before I was able to see the size changes like I wanted. When you get smaller it won't take as many pounds lost to change sizes. It just takes way too long to get to that point. By the way, you have done fantastic. Look at the change in that BMI! Amazing!

Now Mare!!!!.....Some of these people are tall. I am only 5'5" I am in a tight 20 or a loose 22. I might could go in a 18 if I didn't have my hernia friend. I have noted that you are in smaller undies than i and I am way jealous especially since I am 8 months out. You are doing awesome. I don't know how tall you are or what size you are but you look just fine to me. My BMI is 34 I think, and I'm sure people with that BMI are wearing smaller clothes than me. And do you want to talk about excess skin......I have a tub full. You never waste my time girlfriend. I always have time for Mare.
Have a great weekend. Hey go to the Raleigh meet tomorrow I will be there with my DH and I would love to meet you.

My daughter weighs 30 pounds more than I and is about 3.5 inches taller and is much bigger up top than I and can wear exactly the same size in pants and (22) but also wears 3Xs in tops where I can wear 1X in tops. (Shes nursing a 7 month old and has a much larger bra size than I do). Height puts us in different BMIs for the same weight and makes a huge difference in clothing sizes totally.

Hey Mare.....we all need a good whine every once in a while. I am only 5'3" and clothes do vary a lot. I have 22's that everyone yells at me for wearing as they are to big and most of my trousers now are 20's but i was able to buy an 18 a few weeks ago. I truly believe it is also in the cut of the clothes, along with out hts, and how much we have been able to tighten up with exercise plus excess skin.
You are doing great! Don't worry about the size.
