HEY! this is Melissa's Daughter - -

Hey!

This is Melissa's daughter Allyson. Im sitting next to her at the hospital. She WAS doing really good, until she had to pee. haha. She got really nauseated and overwhelmed with pain. Shes laying back down, morphine clicker in hand! Shes having problems with gas buildup in chest and back.

Im staying the night with her tonight, so she will be in good hands. She cant drink anything until tomorrow, so shes using spongey swab things to moisturize her mouth. haha. idk what theyre called. anywho. ill be up here if you guys want to tell her anything. =]

Tell her she is in our thoughts and prayers!   Tell her the pain will pass and she will feel better in no time.   If they want her to get up and walk, tell her it will help with the pain.

Thanks so much for giving us an update on your mom!  Please pass along my gentle hugs 'n cheek kisses to her.  I hope the pain passes really soon.  Take good care of her and keep swabbing. 

I knew what the "idk" meant but you had me on the "<3" -- my 15yo daughter told me, "Mom!  It's a heart!"   

I remember the sponge. I thought my first once of water was elir of the gods. Tell her she has my prayers and to take care. I had my daughter send a email like you did and she stayed the night also. Obviously your mom has a wonderful daughter also.

Thanks for updating us on your Mom!  Glad to hear that she is doing well.  And she is very fortunate to have a wonderful daughter like you to help her out.  Tell her we are all thinking about her and sending her gentle hugs!

Tell her I said to walk her little butt off.

The more she walks (even if she doesn't want to), the better she will feel.. and much sooner, too.  Force her to get up and walk around with you.  It makes the pain and the gas go away.

You're a great daughter to stay and take care of Mom.  I'm so happy to hear she's doing well.  The little blue swab thing was a life saver to me.  With nothing to drink, your mouth gets so dry and it's heaven on a stick! 

Make sure she gets up and walks as soon as she can.  Thanks for the update and tell her I said HI!

HEY! its Allyson again.

Mama said that she tried to walk but she gets so naucious [[IDK HOW TO SPELL IT]] she cant. She feels pretty sick. Shes trying to go to sleep now. Shes afraid the morphine will make her feel worse. but she says if she could walk she would.

Tell Melissa it will get better, I promise!  Last week I had my surgery and I will never forget how I felt the night of the surgery.  I was so nauseated from the morphine.  They gave me some medicine to help with the nausea.  Zofran I think.  I was so bad off I never made it to walk. I did get up in the chair once that night but did not walk to Saturday.  But on Saturday I walked alot and it helped so much.

You'll be back on your feet in no time...stay positive...I didn't have much luck with Morphine, It knocked me out but I'm not sure how much it "took away" the pain...the next day I was give these little white pills...THEY WERE WONDERFUL!!!!
