Time to kick up the exercise!!

Well as the weather is cooling off a bit, yesterday i was off and decided to kick up the exercise and push myself a bit further.  I live in a very hilly neighborhood and when i walk a mile you are either going uphill or down hill and there are 2 very steep hills.  At my heaviest, I couldn't walk it at all because of my knees.  Well yesterday i really impressed myself.   I walked a mile in the morning in 20 minutes and another in the evening in 20 min (actually 19..but who's counting).

I bought a Zune mp3 player per the instructions of my son and had him load some songs on it before he leaves for school tomorrow.  I also still have to call the Huntersville Fitness & Aquatic Center and see what it cost to join.   Since i am off again today, I am going to go buy some 2 & 3 lb wts so i can also work my arms a little more.  In the pool I can exercise everything with the water resistance  but we will probably be closing that down in a month so time to figure out what else to do.

Thanks all for keeping me so motivated!  I could not do it without y'all!

Love, Pam

Woohoo, Pam!  You go girl!  I cannot wait to be where you are, able to walk up and down those hills without my knees (and my sciatic nerve!) killing me.  I am also going to have to get an MP3 so my teens can help fill it with music for me.  That's one of my 15yo's favorite things to do...she loves burning CD's for me.  Will you take advantage of any water aerobics classes that the center has to offer?  That's actually one of my very favorite ways to exercise.  It just feels sooo good (again, when the sciatica cooperates!).  Keep on keeping on...you're doing GREAT!

Thanks Darcie!  Just got out of the pool and can't believe water temp went from 83 to 76 from the few cooler days.     Kept me motivated to keep moving!  Gotta keep exercising to keep the wt falling off.  I even bought some 3 lb wts today.

Take care, Pam
